Sweet Treats for Everyone!

First a treat for me!
Katie fixed my blog banner for me. YAY! I tried my hardest to figure out the whole HTML nonsense and it was driving me insane, so she offered to help me out and Voila...All is right in blog world now. Huge Thanks to Katie!!

Also, got to work this morning and read my horoscope:
There is an element of genius to the day that might inspire you to be someone much greater than you ever thought you could be.

So I got that going for me, which is nice.

And what could be sweeter than this RAK card I received from Leslie Brown. The shaker part of the card compliments the foamy top so well, I just love it. My little boy loved shaking it for a bit and says it is his favorite. Thank you Leslie for sending me this tasty little treat, I really love it and it makes me want to make a shaker card. (or have a nice latte)

The last treat is for all you!
Yes, pay attention now, if you made it this far done in my post and are actually still reading my ramblings...Thanks btw.

While my baby bro is in town, love that kid, for spring break, he has agreed to use his camera and mac on loan from school and take a few videos of me doing something crafty. Yep, that's right, a reall tutorial with words and moving pictures. I figured it was a good way to show my girl Greta things that I can only explain so well over the phone or show something cool that you just can't quite grip with still pictures. I sometimes need to see something to really understand...kwim.

So, here's where you come in....
All you loyal readers (thank you btw), lurky-loos, first-timers - I need some suggestions, ideas, requests!! What do you wanna see, learn???
Don't be shy! Speak up.
I really don't think I have anything mindblowing to share or are really that interesting, so I need your help.

Bonus!!!! (glad your still reading or you may have missed that!)
Any person who makes a suggestion and I use it.....Free stuff coming your way.
So speak up people! Get free stuff!!
Filming this week, so act fast. I'm ready for my close-up...Not!

This may be a little basic but seeing as you have a camera and all, how about some embossing for the relative newbies like myself? Cheers to you...have fun!

How about some design theory? Like how you decide how to layout the various elements so the finished piece is balanced and lovely?

I would like to know the difference between chalks. Isn't there something Liquid Chalk?

I would maybe show some basic tools and how they are used. Like a crimper or items in the tool kit or heat gun. Some newbies are intimidated by the "tools" so they just look to the basic stamping. That is my impression from my first group of ladies when I did my open house. They are all at different levels. Some scrapbook, some make cards, some have never crafted anything before. So I just introduced the uses of different tools even though some know how to emboss, they might not know that the heat tool can be used for other things. I look forward to see your tutorials.

How about a tutorial on making one of those chip-board boxes that seem to be the craze right now?

My suggestion would be to feature interactive projects where you can demonstrate cards or projects that "move". Flip cards, sliders, pop-ups, etc. Video would be such an advantage....it will enable your readers to see your projects in 3D....so much better than photos

Eww...how fun!! Personally I would like to see how to use the Iridescent Ice stuff! I've seen so many cool cards and projects using it on SCS but I'd love to see firsthand what the heck to do with it!!! Great idea by the way!!

I know how to, but since you posted a Shaker card, why not a tutorial on how to make them - esp. using different shapes.

I would love to see a tutorial on embossing, using glitters. I have the most difficult time remembering how to emboss and the different things you can do, so I just don't do it. I have all the supplies, but no idea what to do with them. Have fun!!!

I would love to see an actual visual step by step live tutorial on the photo wallets that a lot of people seem to be making. Thanks for asking!

I am wanting to make one of those shaker cards like the one you posted, but really don't know how to go about it. A video tutorial would be very great for this. Thanks for sharing your talent.

How do you make that wonderful three dimensional foam? I also like what Renee asked about using different tools to watercolor. OOps, looks like I have more than one question!!

hmmm. good question - now I need to come up with something other than whats already been suggested. btw thanks for posting my blog candy! How about a tutorial on Pearl Ex!? I love it but the only thing I really know how to use it is with the versamark. I heard you can use the Glue Pad with it. Thanks!
