Technique for Tuesday

Ok, so I actually have a good technique for today that can easily incorporate the plethora of stamps I have acquired in the past couple of months.
Today's Technique, drumroll please, is Spotlight Stamping. This is where one portion of the image is colorized and the rest is not.

Here are the basic steps:
Stamp the image on two pieces of cardstock. On one of the pieces, color in the part that you wish to be highlighted or "in the spotlight". You can use markers, watercolor, pastels, whatever you want. Using a shape punch, punch out the colored part. Using a slightly larger punch, punch another shape in a coordinating color of cardstock. Mount the colored image on the colored cardstock, then mount the layered piece on top of the other original piece of stamped cardstock, being sure to center the colored image on top of the uncolored image.

Wow! This card is so awesome, I love that idea. I'm off to scraplift (stamplift?) this!

Thank you for your note on my blog - I'm going to try that!
